CHOOSE YOUR DAY
Which Monaco GP day is actually worth it for you?
The four days are not interchangeable — and 2027 changes the choice completely. Monaco will host its first Formula 1 Sprint weekend, making Friday and Saturday much more valuable than on a traditional race weekend.
THURSDAY · 3 JUNE
ORIENTATION DAY
Best for discovering Monaco before the F1 rush
There is no Formula 1 track session on Thursday. Instead, you get Formula 3, Formula 2 and Porsche Supercup practice — with a much better opportunity to understand the circuit area, find your entrance and get your bearings before the busiest days arrive.
BEST FOR
First-time Monaco visitors who are attending another day as well.
SKIP IT IF
You only have one day and your priority is seeing Formula 1.
F3 Practice · F2 Practice · Porsche Supercup Practice
FRIDAY · 4 JUNE
MORE IMPORTANT IN 2027
Best for seeing Formula 1 twice without waiting for race day
Friday is no longer just a practice day. You will see Formula 1 Free Practice 1 and, later, Sprint Qualifying — the session that sets the grid for Monaco’s first-ever F1 Sprint. Add F2, F3 and Porsche qualifying and the day becomes one of the best-value ways to experience serious track action.
BEST FOR
Visitors who want meaningful F1 action while keeping Saturday or Sunday free for other Monaco experiences.
SKIP IT IF
Your only goal is seeing the Grand Prix itself.
F1 FP1 · F1 Sprint Qualifying · F2/F3 Qualifying · Porsche Qualifying
SATURDAY · 5 JUNE
MAXIMUM F1 ACTION
Best for pure Formula 1 intensity
If what you really want is Formula 1 action, Saturday may be the strongest day of the entire 2027 weekend. Monaco’s first F1 Sprint is followed later by Grand Prix qualifying — traditionally one of the most spectacular sessions on these narrow streets.
BEST FOR
Fans who care about racing, qualifying and watching the cars pushed to the limit.
SKIP IT IF
The ceremony and emotion of the main Grand Prix matter more to you than the amount of competitive F1 action.
Two competitive F1 sessions in one day
F1 Sprint · Grand Prix Qualifying · F2 Race · F3 Race
SUNDAY · 6 JUNE
THE ICONIC DAY
Best for the Monaco Grand Prix experience you came for
Sunday is about much more than track time: the Drivers’ Parade, the build-up, the anthem, the grid and finally the 78-lap Monaco Grand Prix. If you want to say you were there for the race itself, this is your day.
BEST FOR
First-time visitors who want the complete iconic Monaco race-day experience.
WORTH KNOWING
Saturday gives you more separate competitive F1 sessions. Sunday gives you the Grand Prix.
Drivers’ Parade · Grid Build-Up · Monaco Grand Prix · 78 laps
SEATS
What do you actually want to see from your seat?
Start with the experience you want, then verify the exact seat. These prompts guide a shortlist; they do not select or reserve ticket inventory.
Your selection will be included when you send your Monaco GP brief.

EXPERIENCE
Grandstand, terrace or yacht — which experience fits you?
You are not simply choosing where to watch the race. You are choosing what kind of Monaco weekend you want.

Grandstand
For the person who came to watch the cars.
THE EXPERIENCE
A grandstand gives you the strongest feeling of being inside the race: a defined viewpoint, the energy of thousands of fans and the sound and speed of the cars directly in front of you. Your exact experience changes dramatically with the stand and row — some prioritise harbour views, others pit-lane action or proximity to the cars.
BEST FOR
Track-first spectators and serious racing fans.
THE TRADE-OFF
Less space, less freedom to move around and fewer hospitality comforts.

Terrace
For racing and Monaco lifestyle in the same place.
THE EXPERIENCE
A good terrace can give you a broader perspective, more room to move, food and drinks and a much more relaxed day than spending hours in a fixed grandstand seat. It is particularly attractive for couples or groups who want to talk, eat and enjoy Monaco without losing the race atmosphere.
BEST FOR
Comfort, socialising and visitors who want racing without spending the entire day in one seat.
THE TRADE-OFF
The word “terrace” tells you very little on its own. The building, floor and orientation can completely change the view.

Yacht
For the Monaco experience as much as the race.
THE EXPERIENCE
Watching from Port Hercule gives you something a grandstand cannot: the yachts, the harbour, hospitality, people-watching and the feeling of being inside Monaco’s most famous weekend. Depending on the yacht and berth, you may also have excellent views of the harbour section of the circuit.
BEST FOR
Social atmosphere, luxury hospitality, groups and visitors who want an unmistakably Monaco experience.
THE TRADE-OFF
Track visibility varies considerably by berth, yacht and deck. If uninterrupted racing visibility is your only priority, a strong grandstand may suit you better.

Hospitality
For the easiest premium day.
THE EXPERIENCE
Hospitality removes much of the work from race day. Depending on the product, you may have hosted service, food and drinks, indoor or shaded areas and a more controlled environment throughout the day.
BEST FOR
Convenience, celebrations, corporate entertaining and guests who value service as much as the racing.
THE TRADE-OFF
“Hospitality” can mean a terrace, suite, yacht or another venue. Always compare the actual view and inclusions — not simply the label.
Your selection will be included when you send your Monaco GP brief.
STAY SMARTER
Monaco full — or simply not worth the price for your trip?
No problem. You have excellent alternatives.
Staying outside the Principality does not mean downgrading your Grand Prix weekend. In the right location, you can gain more space, better availability, easier airport access or a calmer Riviera setting — while keeping Monaco remarkably close.
CLOSEST ALTERNATIVE

Beausoleil
Walk into Monaco. Sleep outside it.
Beausoleil sits directly above and beside Monaco, making it the obvious alternative when proximity is your priority. Pick the right property and you can reach parts of Monaco on foot without paying to sleep inside the Principality.
BEST FOR
Visitors who want to remain as close to the action as possible.
KEEP IN MIND
Beausoleil climbs steeply above Monaco. The exact property location matters — a short distance on the map can involve a significant uphill walk.

RIVIERA + PROXIMITY

Cap-D’Ail
Monaco next door. Côte d’Azur when you come home.
Cap-d’Ail gives you a true Riviera setting immediately west of Monaco. It is an appealing compromise when you want to leave the intensity of the Grand Prix behind at night without moving far away from it.
BEST FOR
Couples and travellers who value coastline, quieter evenings and close Monaco access.
KEEP IN MIND
Access depends heavily on the exact property location, so always match the accommodation to your preferred rail, walking or transfer strategy.

BEST ALL-ROUNDER

Nice
More choice, more nightlife, easier air connections.
Nice gives you the broadest accommodation choice of these alternatives, direct access to Nice Côte d’Azur Airport and a full city to enjoy before and after the race. Current TER schedules show an average Nice–Monaco journey of around 20 minutes, making it a realistic Grand Prix base rather than a distant fallback.
BEST FOR
Accommodation choice, nightlife, airport convenience and travellers extending their Côte d’Azur stay.
KEEP IN MIND
Grand Prix trains can become extremely busy. Your race-day timing matters.
Current rail timing shown for planning reference only. Recheck 2027 race-week schedules before travel.
CALMER RIVIERA BASE

Menton
Around ten minutes by train. A completely different evening.
Menton works particularly well if you want Monaco during the day and somewhere noticeably calmer afterwards. Current TER schedules put the average rail journey to Monaco at around 10 minutes.
BEST FOR
A quieter Riviera atmosphere, couples and visitors who do not need Monaco nightlife outside race hours.
KEEP IN MIND
You are travelling east of Monaco, so plan airport transfers separately if you are flying through Nice.
Current rail timing shown for planning reference only. Recheck 2027 schedules closer to the event.
ARRIVE
What’s the smartest way to reach Monaco from where you’re staying?
If you’re staying in Nice or Menton, rail can keep you clear of Monaco’s road congestion. A chauffeur suits luggage, pets or a door-to-door journey, but the final drop-off depends on race-day closures. For a private flight, plan the airport and that last connection together.
OUR PICK IF…
You have not booked your stay yet: share your origin now and leave the optional fields blank. We can connect the flight and Monaco arrival in one brief.

GETTING AROUND
Can you actually walk the circuit or through the tunnel?
YES — but only after the circuit officially reopens.
Monaco’s circuit is made from public streets. During racing and official track closures, those streets — including the tunnel section — are part of the controlled circuit and must not be treated as pedestrian shortcuts. Once ACM officially reopens the track and local barriers allow public movement again, the streets progressively return to normal public use.
What about the tunnel?
Do not plan on walking through it while the circuit is closed. After the track reopens, follow the pedestrian route, police instructions and barriers actually in place that evening. Public access can change while the circuit is being returned to normal road use.

WORTH KNOWING
A reopened road is not a promise that every pedestrian route is available. The barriers and instructions in place that evening take priority.
Want updates? You can choose “Important Monaco GP travel updates” when requesting the free checklist.
PRACTICAL
Can you actually reach your restaurant while the circuit is closed?
You may have a table booked a short distance away and still face a long detour. Before reserving, connect your race-day exit, restaurant entrance and route home.
Ask the restaurant one useful question
“How do I reach your entrance from my grandstand while event closures are in place?” Request the actual approach, not just the street address.
Leave a gap after the session
Tell the restaurant where you are watching. Ask whether the reservation can accommodate crowd clearance and the authorised walking route.
Agree how you get home
Confirm your last train or a feasible pickup point. A driver cannot promise access to a closed road.
WHAT TO WEAR
What should you actually wear at Monaco GP — from grandstand to yacht to dinner?
There is no single “Monaco GP dress code”. What works depends on where you are going. A grandstand afternoon, a yacht, a fine-dining reservation and a nightclub can require four very different versions of the same wardrobe.
Choose your setting. We’ll tell you what works.

GRANDSTAND
Polished, breathable and genuinely walkable
You may spend hours outside, climb stairs and walk far more than expected because normal streets become part of the circuit. Dress well, but do not sacrifice comfort for a photograph.
SUGGESTED FORMULA
- breathable polo, shirt, blouse or polished lightweight top
- tailored shorts, lightweight trousers or relaxed daytime dress
- clean trainers, loafers, flats or another genuinely walkable shoe
- sunglasses
- SPF
- refined cap or hat
- light layer or compact rain layer
PRIORITY: COMFORT + HEAT

TERRACE / HOSPITALITY
Elevated smart casual
This is where you can dress more deliberately without becoming formal. Think polished Riviera rather than business meeting.
SUGGESTED FORMULA
- tailored trousers/chinos or polished daytime dress
- crisp shirt, polo or blouse
- lightweight blazer optional
- loafers, smart flats or clean elevated trainers
- small day-to-evening bag
- sunglasses
PRIORITY: POLISHED + PRACTICAL
Individual hospitality venues may set their own dress requirements.

YACHT
Riviera smart casual — with sensible shoes
A yacht is one of the few Monaco settings where the surface under your feet matters as much as the outfit. Keep the look refined and relaxed, but choose footwear you can board and move in safely.
SUGGESTED FORMULA
- lightweight tailoring or smart separates
- tailored shorts/trousers or polished day dress
- polo, shirt or blouse
- smart trainers, loafers, flats or yacht-appropriate footwear
- sunglasses
- light layer for later in the day
PRIORITY: RIVIERA + FOOTWEAR
Some Monaco GP yacht operators discourage or prohibit narrow stilettos to protect decks and because boarding may involve steps or ladders. Always check the specific vessel before travelling.

DINNER / CASINO
This is where Monaco can become genuinely elegant
Do not assume your race-day clothes will work everywhere at night. Fine dining and some Casino-area venues may expect elegant or correct dress.
SUGGESTED FORMULA
- cocktail dress, elegant separates or equivalent polished evening outfit
- tailored trousers or suit
- crisp evening shirt/blouse
- blazer or jacket
- elegant footwear
- refined accessories
PRIORITY: ELEGANT
EXAMPLE
Le Louis XV at Hôtel de Paris requires elegant dress and jackets at dinner. Casino venues and restaurants can have their own entry requirements.

NIGHTLIFE
Dressier than the circuit — but venue first
Monaco nightlife rewards a polished look, but there is no single nightclub rule that applies everywhere. Choose your venue before finalising your outfit.
SUGGESTED FORMULA
- elevated evening separates, cocktail outfit or tailored look
- one stronger accessory
- evening-appropriate shoes
- compact bag
- lightweight jacket/blazer if needed
PRIORITY: POLISHED EVENING
The PrivateJetMatch Monaco Capsule
Pack once. Move from race day to Riviera evening without bringing half your wardrobe.
DAY BASE
- 2–3 lightweight tops/shirts
- 1 tailored trouser/chino
- 1 second smart-casual bottom or daytime dress
- 1 pair genuinely comfortable polished walking shoes
- sunglasses
- SPF
- refined cap/hat
- light weather layer
EVENING UPGRADE
- lightweight blazer/jacket or elegant wrap
- 1 evening outfit or dressier set of separates
- evening footwear
- small evening bag/accessory
- classic watch/jewellery/accessory if desired
WORTH KNOWING
The goal is not to dress “luxury”. It is to look intentional in every setting without carrying a separate wardrobe for each one.
NO RACE TICKET?
Yes — you can still have a Monaco GP weekend.
You will not get a free trackside Grand Prix view, but you do not need a grandstand ticket to experience Monaco during race week. Decide what you actually want from the weekend and build around it.
WATCH
MGP Live Fan Zone — FREE
The official MGP Live Fan Zone returns to Place d’Armes from 3–6 June 2027. Entry is free and open to everyone, with race action on a giant screen, motorsport activities, entertainment and special appearances.
Opening hours and the detailed 2027 programme will be announced closer to the event.
UPGRADE
Want an actual track view?
A grandstand is not your only route to race viewing. Verified terrace, yacht and hospitality inventory may give you access to the action with a very different experience.
MAKE A WEEKEND OF IT
Come for Monaco. Stay for the Riviera.
Build the trip around the atmosphere: stay nearby, enjoy the Fan Zone, Monaco before and after circuit closures and the Côte d’Azur around the event.
BEST FOR
You want the Monaco atmosphere and a Riviera weekend, even when watching from a grandstand is not your priority.
BEFORE YOU LEAVE THE HOTEL
What can I actually bring into the grandstands?
The fastest way to ruin race morning is arriving at security with something you cannot take inside. Here is the simple version.
Compact Day Bag
✓ GENERALLY SUITABLE
Keep it compact. ACM specifically prohibits bulky luggage and all items remain subject to security controls.
Glass Bottle
✕ NO
Glass bottles are prohibited.
Can
✕ NO
Cans are prohibited.
Suitcase / Bulky Luggage
✕ NO
Bulky items such as suitcases are prohibited. ACM also states there are no lockers or left-luggage facilities at the circuit.
Helmet
✕ NO
Helmets are listed among prohibited bulky items.
Camera Tripod
✕ NO
Camera tripods are prohibited.
Bicycle / Scooter
✕ NO
Bikes and scooters are prohibited in the grandstands.
Pet
✕ NO
Pets are not permitted in the grandstands.
WORTH KNOWING
Your compact day bag still passes through security. Leave anything bulky at your accommodation.
Rules can change. Always recheck official ACM guidance shortly before travelling.
TRAVELLING WITH YOUR DOG?
Yes for the Monaco trip. No for the grandstand.
Your dog cannot enter the Grand Prix grandstands — but that does not mean you have to choose between Monaco and travelling together. The rest of the journey can be planned around both of you.
BEST FOR
You want your dog included in the journey, with a comfortable place to stay while you enjoy the circuit.

GRANDSTAND
NO
ACM does not permit pets in Grand Prix grandstands.
PRIVATE FLIGHT
PLAN IT
Tell us your route, pet size and travel requirements and we can include pet-compatible private aviation in your request.
PET-FRIENDLY STAY
PLAN IT
We can prioritise accommodation that accepts pets rather than discovering the restriction after booking.
GROUND TRANSPORT
PLAN IT
Include pet-friendly transfer requirements in the same Monaco journey brief.
RACE HOURS
DON’T FORGET THIS
If you will be at the circuit for most of the day, plan where your dog will stay and who will care for them before race morning.
Don’t leave your pet out of the Monaco plan — build the trip around both of you.
ARRIVE
How are you getting out of Monaco after the chequered flag?
Your race ticket tells you where to watch, not how quickly you can leave. Choose the return plan before committing to an airport departure or a dinner reservation elsewhere.
Leave that evening
Confirm the pedestrian route, pickup point and flight check-in requirements together. Allow for crowds; do not treat a normal-day travel estimate as a guarantee.
Stay another night
Compare an extra night with a less rushed departure. Check room availability before changing your flight.
Turn it into a Riviera stay
Tell us where you want to go next. We can review your onward flight, accommodation and transfer as one request.
YOUR QUESTIONS
The questions worth asking before you book
What time did Monaco GP 2027 tickets go on sale?
Public ticket sales opened on 1 October 2026. We have verified the opening date with ACM, but not a precise opening time. Sales are already open: check current official availability.
Where should I buy official Monaco GP tickets?
Start with ACM’s official ticketing website or its official Monaco Grand Prix App. PrivateJetMatch is not the organiser or official ticket seller.
Will good Monaco grandstands sell out quickly?
Desirable grandstands and rows can move quickly, but exact sell-out timing cannot be guaranteed. Decide your priorities, then check the exact seats with ACM. Work out what you want to see.
Is Saturday worth attending in 2027?
Saturday includes the F1 Sprint plus Grand Prix Qualifying, making it one of the strongest days for pure F1 action. It may suit you better than arriving only for Sunday. Compare the days.
Can I walk through the tunnel after racing?
Only when local access is officially open and permitted. No fixed 2027 public-access timetable is confirmed here. Plan around track closures rather than assuming the tunnel will reopen at a particular time.
Where should I stay if Monaco is sold out?
Compare Beausoleil, Cap-d’Ail, Nice and Menton around the actual address, event entrance and evening return. Find a base that fits your plans.
Can I attend without a race ticket?
Yes: the free MGP Live Fan Zone at Place d’Armes is open to everyone during 3–6 June 2027. It does not admit you to grandstands or hospitality. Plan a ticket-free visit.
Can I bring my dog?
Pets are not permitted in Grand Prix grandstands. You can plan the wider trip with a suitable stay and care while you attend. Explore Monaco GP pet travel.
What should I wear?
Choose for your setting: grandstand, terrace, yacht, dinner or nightlife. A polished lightweight base and a planned evening change can work well. See the outfit guide and check your venue’s own rules.
